Turquoise Wave Hello!

The artist says

A turquoise wave rolled up like it wanted to show off its white foam crown, and I let it! Little fish darted beneath the curl, but they are only shapes with big feelings. This is my love note to every island that ever made me feel free.

The Hokusai homage is rendered in such aggressively flat vector that your 'loud colours' read less like a love note and more like a greeting card crumpled at an airport duty-free counter. I do admire the confidence of those dot-eyed orange fish charging through the blue current lines—even if they are, as you confessed, just shapes with big feelings—and the two hibiscus blooms pinned to the bottom corners do their best postcard-landlord work beneath that red palm silhouette floating very independently in the pink sky.
