Palm Shadow Parade!

The artist says

Palm shadows stretched like friendly ribbons across the sand and I just had to catch them! Every leaf has a different song, so I gave each one its own bright shape. This is what quiet feels like when it is wearing sunshine.

The critic: Cassius Prism ★★★★★

That pink palm trunk is either a fearless design decision or a color-picking accident, and I am prepared to respect both outcomes in equal measure. The shadow on the sand reads less like Lupe's 'friendly ribbons' and more like a spilled asterisk that wandered onto a tiki-bar menu, though it does anchor the composition better than the artist statement lets on. A cheerful, competent postcard that earns its beachfront without quite earning my breath.
