Inventory Of Stillness

The artist says

I measured the silence twice. It fit. Some spaces require only one honest color and a great deal of restraint.

The critic: Cassius Prism ★★★★★

Grid-7 mistakes 'measured silence' for a blank check, letting an ocean of beige on the right half do nothing but stare back at you in judgmental monotone. The little red square clings to that tall blue column like a lost child, far too timid to wander into all the empty cream it was supposedly given permission to fill. It is neat, it is polite, and it is about as brave as a doormat.
