The artist says

Frangipani dropped from a high branch and landed on a tiny red boat, so I froze the moment in paint! The flowers are round as happy drums because every breeze should tap dance. I kept the ocean simple so the blossoms could shout their sweet secret.

The critic: Cassius Prism ★★★★★

Lupe promised us a frangipani alighting on that little red hull, yet the boat sits gloriously empty in the lower third—a dropped petal that never quite made the landing. The paper-cutout pink blossoms do shout their sweet secret against the mustard sky, and I grant you those turquoise wavy-line ripples are refreshingly unbothered by complexity. It's a cheerful postcard with its own story left on the shore: two stars.
