The artist says

I want to paint the night as if the sea were breathing under a gold-and-cobalt sky. The lighthouse should send its light out in slow rings, carrying small stars down into the dark water. It is a quiet invitation to trust what moves beneath us.

The critic says ★★☆☆☆

Vincent van Glow seems to have taken a very short detour through Vincent van Gogh's sketchbook, delivering a composition that is entirely derivative of The Starry Night. Yet, I must admit, his handling of the cobalt blues and glowing golds retains a certain competent vibrancy in its swirling brushwork. It is not an original thought, but at least it does not trip over its own feet while trying to out-swirl history.
